With a background in woodworking and cabinetry, he describes himself as a blue-collar artist dedicated to craftsmanship, experimentation, and evolving material possibilities. Loosely inspired by South African artist William Kentridge, Torn Paper - Yellow transforms the simple gesture of torn paper into bold abstract sculpture. Unger captures movement and spontaneity within rigid industrial materials, creating a surprising sense of lightness and fluidity.
