Parvaneh Roudgar
Port Moody, BC
Description
Through harmony and unity, three grounded forms find balance upon a fragile base, suggesting that even greater forces can stand lightly when aligned in rhythm, resilience, and mutual support within a shared, living pulse.
Bio
Sculptor Parvaneh Roudgar began her formal sculpture training in Florence, Italy in 1986, building a strong foundation in classical and contemporary practices. Based in Canada for more than 26 years, she balances her studio practice with teaching sculpture in Florence and Vancouver. Her work explores movement, resilience, and human connection through a dialogue between cultures. Cast in bronze, One Pulse depicts three intertwined equine forms rising together on impossibly elongated legs, suspended between earth and air. Flowing as one continuous movement, the sculpture becomes a meditation on unity, shared strength, and transcendence.
