Description

For a June Bug and a Bird may want to gaze again at the features of their beloved Wren.

Bio

Originally from Sherbrooke, Quebec, Aimée Philibert has lived in British Columbia for the past twenty years and operates La Grotesque Gallery in Erie, near Salmo. Working in watercolour, ceramic, concrete, and mixed media sculpture, her art explores memory, mortality, and imagination through surreal imagery. Created from concrete, stone, and moss, Dusty Wren Sunflower Forest was inspired by the memory of a beloved friend. A sculpted face emerges from the front while a lush landscape unfolds across the back. Rich in texture and symbolism, the work invites viewers to move around the sculpture and discover new emotional layers from every angle.
