Raised in Ukraine, artist Serge Mozhnevsky graduated from the Uzhgorod Professional College in the Ukraine with an Honours diploma in Wood Carving before emigrating to Canada in 2000, settling in Coquitlam. He has gradually shifted mediums, moving from wood to aluminum. His work displays great purity and balance, echoing his belief that simple lines evoked by natural forms such as the human body provide the greatest freedom for our emotions and imagination.
