Vancouver, BC

As children, toys filled our hearts and imaginations with joy and wonder. Growing older is mandatory, growing up is optional. Run, laugh and play and remember the joy of just being.

A Russia-born Canadian multimedia artist based in Vancouver since 2008, Anya was born in Vladivostok to a family of Czech, Polish and Ukrainian migrants. After studying at the Children’s Art School, she spent years apprenticing at the local porcelain factory where she fell in love with porcelain. She later studied classical art, receiving a diploma in Fine Arts with a major in sculpture.

Anya’s whimsical Toy Bear evokes childhood toys which filled our hearts and imaginations with joy and wonder. Growing older is mandatory, growing up is optional! Run, laugh and play and remember the joy of just being.
