Serge Mozhnevsky

Coquitlam, BC

Serge Mozhnevsky graduated from the Uzhgorod Professional College in the Ukraine with an Honours diploma in Wood Carving, before emigrating to Canada in 2000, settling in Coquitlam. He has gradually shifted mediums, moving from wood to aluminum since his arrival. His work blends simplicity and sophistication in a unique way, resulting in works of great purity and balance.
Pantocrator, like all of Serge’s sculptures, resonates with the nature of the material he uses, in this case aluminum. Exuding physicality, gravity, and intense emotion, the piece represents life in the hands of the human soul, framed by our mind.
