Kevin Bendig

Nelson, BC

A practitioner of Chinese medicine, Nelson artist Kevin Bendig’s travels to meditative centres and yogic schools throughout Asia have provided him with a unique fusion of ideas which he incorporates into the pieces he creates. A full-time father of a beautiful 7-year-old boy, when time allows he likes to use his chainsaw to carve dead trees back to life.
The fantastical Granite Dragon is a creature born of the Kootenays. Rooted in imagination, contemplation and play, the piece is sure to delight and enchant all who experience it.
