David Barnes

Creston, BC

In a world of persistent unrest and what amounts to petty squabbling, maybe there are bigger issues to resolve. I hope that this work creates contemplation as to what is here and what may be beyond.

Bio

David Barnes grew up in England and studied at the Kent Institute of Art and Design, later obtaining his certificate of Education at the University of London. He established his own ceramics business, followed by teaching art and design as the head of the Ceramic department at Kent College. An artist of international renown, David's large bronze sculpture "Hands and Molecules" has been named as one of the UK's top 20 pieces of outdoor art. Moving to Canada in 2006, David continues his ceramics journey, teaching and selling work in a selection of galleries.
